About

ABOUT THE CLUB
Chico Rod and Gun Club has been part of the Chico community since 1954, providing a safe venue for recreational shooting, firearms training, and hunter safety instruction.

Our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive venue for the support and encouragement of recreational and competitive shooting sports.

Part of our commitment to the community is the education and training of young shooters. Our junior rifle safety program dates back to the late 1940s. All of our coaches are veterans of junior programs and experienced shooters.

The Chico Rod and Gun Club offers league and competitive shooting programs for all ages, as well as open practice opportunities, CCW permits, and safety training programs. We believe that target shooting is a fun, valid, and valuable recreational activity that can be enjoyed by anyone, at any age.

All volunteer Range Safety Officers on duty are affiliated with the NRA, CMP, and CRPA.
